Koperen afdichtring - een koperen afdichtring die wordt gebruikt om banjo- en unionaansluitingen in het gehele dieselbrandstofsysteem af te dichten, bij brandstofleidingen, filters en sedimentatiebakken.

Het zachte koper vervormt wanneer de verbinding wordt aangedraaid, waardoor een lekvrije metalen afdichting rond de fitting ontstaat. Koperen afdichtringen zijn voor eenmalig gebruik en moeten worden vervangen telkens wanneer de verbinding wordt losgemaakt.

The ESR354 copper sealing washer is a crush washer that seals banjo and union connections throughout the diesel fuel system, at fuel pipes, filters and sedimentors. The soft copper deforms as the joint is torqued, forming a leak-tight metal seal. It fits Land Rover TDi and Td5 diesel systems.

Can copper sealing washers be reused?

No, copper sealing washers are single-use. The copper work-hardens as it crushes to form the seal, so a reused washer typically won't seal reliably and can weep diesel. Renew the washer every time the banjo or union joint is disturbed on the fuel system.

How many ESR354 washers do I need for a repair?

Quantity depends on the joint. A banjo bolt typically needs one washer on each sealing face, so a single banjo union usually takes two. Order enough to renew every washer on the fuel connections you disturb. Fits Defender 2.5 TDi/Td5, Discovery 1 and 2, and Range Rover Classic diesel.
