Afdichtingsring is een koperen verpakkingsring die wordt gebruikt om banjo- en schroefverbindingen in het brandstofsysteem af te dichten.

Geplaatst bij verbindingen zoals de injectiepomp, brandstoffilter en spruitstukverbindingen, vervormt deze wanneer de verbinding wordt aangehaald, waardoor een lekdichte metalen afdichting ontstaat. Deze moet elke keer worden vervangen als de verbinding wordt losgemaakt. Het is de bijbehorende afdichtingsring voor banjo-verbindingen, zoals die welke zijn vastgezet met banjobout ERR886.

No, the copper sealing washer is a crush washer and should be renewed each time the joint is disturbed. Once compressed it won't reseal reliably, so reusing it risks a fuel leak. Fit a fresh washer whenever you undo the union.
