Uitlaatklep voor de 2,25L 4-cilinder benzinemotor, gemonteerd in de klepbedieningsconstructie van de cilinderkop.

Deze klep werkt in de cilinderkop om de afvoer van verbrandingsgassen uit de verbrandingskamer naar het uitlaatspruitstuk te regelen. Bij sluiting rust hij tegen de klepzitting van de cilinderkop en wordt hij bediend door de nokkenas via stoterstangen en tuimelaars.

What is the ETC5866 exhaust valve and what does it do?

The ETC5866 is the exhaust valve for the 2.25L 4-cylinder petrol engine. It opens to discharge combustion gases from the cylinder into the exhaust manifold and seats against the cylinder head valve seat on closure. It's actuated by the camshaft through the pushrods and rocker arms.

How many exhaust valves does the engine need?

The 2.25L 4-cylinder engine uses one exhaust valve per cylinder, so a full set is typically four. Many rebuilds renew the inlet and exhaust valves together, so order enough for the work you're doing.

Which engines does the ETC5866 fit?

The ETC5866 fits the 2.25L petrol engine in the Series II, IIA and III and the Defender, and applies from engine serial numbers 36139552C and 36408864C onward. Check your engine serial number falls in range before ordering.
