De O-ring van de tussenbak is een afdichtring die is aangebracht op een pasverbinding van de aandrijfunit van de tussenbak. Geplaatst in zijn groef vormt hij een statische afdichting die het smeermiddel van de tussenbak vasthoudt en vuil en vocht uit de verbinding houdt.

O-ringen zijn voor eenmalig gebruik; vernieuw ze altijd wanneer de verbinding is verstoord om een betrouwbare afdichting te herstellen.
