Frequently asked questions

What does the NRC7135 fuel pump rubber mount do?
The NRC7135 fuel pump rubber mount carries the external electric fuel pump on petrol Land Rover Defender models and isolates it from the chassis. It absorbs running vibration and reduces transmitted noise, stopping the pump body being shaken directly against its bracket.
Do I need the fixing nut as well?
The mount secures to its bracket with the NH604041L nut, a 1/4" UNF hex nut. It isn't always supplied with the mount, so order NH604041L alongside it if your old nut is corroded or missing. The mount fits the petrol Defender.
When should the fuel pump mount be replaced?
Replace the fuel pump rubber mount once the rubber has perished, cracked, or gone soft and lets the pump move on the petrol Defender. A failed mount transmits more vibration and noise and can let the pump and its fuel connections chafe. Fit a fresh mount whenever the pump is removed.
