Afdekrubber Motor - een rubber trillingsdempende bevestigingsring voor de akoestische motorkap op de Td5 2.5L 5-cilinder turbodiesel.

Het rubber zit op de motor en de borgbout van de kap (LYG000230) gaat erdoorheen, waardoor de plastic akoestische bovenkap wordt beschermd tegen motortrillingen en op zijn plaats wordt gehouden. Er worden drie rubbers gebruikt om de kap te monteren.

What is the cam cover grommet for on a Td5 engine?

The cam cover grommet is a rubber vibration-damping mounting grommet for the acoustic engine cover on the Td5 2.5L 5-cylinder turbo diesel. The cover's retaining bolt passes through it, cushioning the plastic top cover against engine vibration and locating it in position. It fits Defender 1998-2006 and Discovery 2.

How many cam cover grommets are needed to mount the cover?

Typically three grommets mount the acoustic cover on the Td5 engine. They're usually replaced as a set, since perished rubber on one often means the others have hardened too. Ordering all three at once avoids a repeat job.
