Gemonteerd aan de vooras, vervult hij twee functies tegelijk: de luchtveer draagt het voertuig en stelt de rijhoogte in onder controle van het luchtveersysteem, terwijl de geïntegreerde schokdemper de demping en wielbeweging regelt.
