When people visit our showroom, we want them to feel immediately that they are stepping into a place built around passion for Land Rover vehicles. These cars are more than transport. They represent decades of engineering, adventure, and a loyal global community of enthusiasts.
So when we decided to redesign part of our showroom space, we wanted to do something bold. Instead of leaving a large wall empty, we decided to turn it into something that reflects the spirit of the vehicles we work with every day.
The result is a custom Land Rover Defender mural that now dominates the showroom wall and instantly draws attention when customers walk through the door.
This is: a story about the custom Defender mural installed at the Budget Parts Gouda showroom, the artists behind it, and what it represents for our business.
Covers: the artwork itself, the artist collaboration with Unity Murals and Studio Zepa, how the mural fits into the showroom space, and how to visit it in person.
This is not: a technical article or a parts guide. For Defender parts and technical guides, see the links below.
The Land Rover Defender has always stood for durability, adventure, and character. Whether it is used for serious off-road expeditions, restoration projects, or daily driving, the Defender has a personality that few vehicles can match.
That personality was exactly what we wanted the mural to capture.
The artwork features a rugged Defender fitted with expedition equipment, including roof lights, a roof rack, and a winch ready for action. Instead of traditional paint colours, the vehicle is brought to life with vibrant splashes of colour and expressive brushwork that give the piece energy and movement.
The result is something that feels both mechanical and artistic. It celebrates the engineering of the vehicle while also expressing the creativity and individuality that Land Rover owners are known for.
The ArtistsTo bring the idea to life we worked with the talented mural artists behind Unity Murals, a creative collaboration founded by artists Zesta and Page33.
Both artists originally began working together in South Africa as freelance graffiti artists and muralists in the early 2000s. Their shared passion for large scale street art led them to collaborate on projects across cities and public spaces, eventually forming a professional partnership under the name Unity Murals.
Over the years the duo created murals for businesses, public spaces, international brands, and government projects. Their work blends graffiti traditions with illustration, expressive colour palettes, and dynamic composition, creating artwork that immediately captures attention and brings energy to large spaces.
As their international projects expanded, the artists relocated to the Netherlands to continue developing their work in Europe.
Today their artistic collaboration continues under the name Studio Zepa, where Zesta and Page33 produce contemporary street art, large scale murals, and visual art projects that draw inspiration from graffiti culture, illustration, and modern urban art.

The colourful Defender mural in our showroom reflects this unique visual language. Strong outlines, layered spray paint textures, and vibrant colours give the artwork a sense of movement that perfectly matches the adventurous personality of the Land Rover Defender.
Since installing the mural, it has quickly become one of the most talked about features in our showroom. Customers often stop to take a closer look at the details, and it has become a great conversation starter for visitors who share our enthusiasm for Land Rover vehicles.
The artwork adds energy and character to the space, turning what would normally be an ordinary wall into something memorable. It also reinforces the passion behind what we do as a business.
Every day we help Land Rover owners maintain, repair, and upgrade their vehicles. Many of our customers are restoring classic Defenders or preparing their vehicles for off-road adventures. The mural reflects that same spirit of exploration and dedication.
VideoTo give you a better sense of how the artwork fits into the space, we recorded a short video inside the showroom. The mural now forms the backdrop to our workspace and perfectly captures the adventurous personality of the vehicles we specialise in.
The CollaborationProjects like this remind us that the Land Rover community is about more than just parts and repairs. It is about creativity, individuality, and the stories behind the vehicles.
Working with Unity Murals allowed us to bring that idea to life in a visual way that customers can experience as soon as they walk into the showroom.
If you are looking to transform a workspace, showroom, or commercial environment with custom artwork, Unity Murals specialises in creating bespoke murals that turn blank walls into striking visual features.
Visit UsIf you happen to visit us in Gouda, make sure to take a moment to see the mural in person. It has become a proud part of our showroom and a small tribute to the vehicle that continues to inspire Land Rover enthusiasts around the world.
