Mounts to the rear wiper spindle on the tailgate and carries the wiper blade across the rear window. The arm is spring-loaded against the glass to maintain blade contact and attaches to the spindle via a splined clamp at its pivot end.

Does this rear wiper arm fit every Discovery 1?
Not every Discovery 1. The rear wash/wipe system was fitted from VIN MA081992, and this particular arm applies from VIN MA125532. Earlier cars either lack the rear wiper or use a different arm, so check your VIN against that break before ordering.
How does the wiper arm attach to the spindle?
The wiper arm attaches to the rear wiper spindle by a splined clamp at its pivot end, so it locates in one position on the splines. Lifting the old one off and pressing a new one on is usually a straightforward job. Make sure the blade parks correctly on the glass once it's refitted.
