A/C Suction Pipe - low-pressure suction line of the air conditioning refrigerant circuit.

It carries low-pressure refrigerant vapour from the evaporator outlet back to the compressor inlet, completing the return leg of the circuit, and is routed from the evaporator housing through the bulkhead into the engine bay. For the Td5 engine installation; the V8 EFi installation uses a different pipe.

Will this pipe fit a V8 Defender?

No. JUE109190 is for the Td5 engine installation only. The V8 EFi installation uses a different suction pipe, so this part won't fit a V8-powered Defender.

What's involved in fitting this pipe?

The air conditioning system needs discharging before removal and evacuating and recharging afterward, since this pipe carries refrigerant on the low-pressure side of the circuit. Renew the O-ring at each union when refitting to avoid a fresh leak.
