Main Bearing Set for the crankshaft main journals of the Td5 2.5L 5-cylinder turbo diesel engine, in 0.010 in oversize.
The shells locate in the cylinder block saddles and the main bearing caps, carrying the crankshaft on a pressure-fed oil film supplied through the block galleries. This is the oversize grade: it is used with a crankshaft whose main journals have been reground 0.010 in undersize, restoring the specified running clearance.
Main bearings are renewed as a complete set. Journal diameters should be measured and the running clearance checked on assembly before the caps are torqued down.
