The rear air spring mounts between the rear axle assembly and the chassis, replacing a conventional coil spring. Under EAS control it inflates and deflates to set ride height, level the platform under varying loads and adjust the vehicle across its terrain and height modes.

A perished or leaking air spring sleeve causes pressure loss, showing as rear sag, excessive compressor cycling or EAS fault codes. Supplied as a single air spring.
