Fuel Injection Pump for the Td4 2.0L four-cylinder 16-valve turbo diesel engine - the high-pressure stage of the common rail fuel injection system.

The pump is engine-driven and raises fuel from supply pressure to injection pressure, feeding the common rail that supplies the injectors. Delivery is regulated electronically so that rail pressure is matched to engine load and speed, and the pump is lubricated by the fuel passing through it.

A failing pump typically shows as extended cranking or hard starting, loss of power under load, and an inability to build or hold rail pressure.
