Fuel Filter is the in-line filter for the pressurised supply side of the V8 EFI fuel injection system.
It is mounted in the fuel line between the tank-mounted pump and the fuel rail, trapping particulate contamination before it can reach the injectors and the fuel pressure regulator. The sealed steel canister is rated for the working pressure of the EFI circuit; a low-pressure carburettor-type filter is not a substitute.
Fitted with threaded or push-fit line connections at each end and clamped into the chassis-mounted filter bracket. It is a directional component and must be installed the correct way round in the line.
