Front Shock Absorber - hydraulic damper for the front suspension, supplied with its mounting hardware.
The damper controls the rate at which the front suspension compresses and rebounds, converting wheel travel into heat through internal valving so the coil spring is not left to oscillate. Mounted between the chassis bracket and the front axle, it works with the springs and suspension links to keep the wheel in contact with the ground.
The kit comprises the shock absorber together with the washers, caps and nuts required to mount it.
Replace in axle pairs. Oil leakage from the body, damaged mounting bushes or reduced damping indicate a worn unit.
