Foam Cell Shock Absorber - a rear damper for the rear suspension circuit, controlling spring oscillation between the chassis and the live rear axle at standard ride height.

In place of a nitrogen gas charge it uses a cellular foam insert, freeing internal volume for additional oil and improving heat dispersion so damping resists fade under sustained load. Construction includes a cellular-technology tube, an 18 mm sintered rod, a 41 mm piston with a Teflon multi-lip seal, single-piece eye rings, polyurethane bush mounts and a powder-coated finish. Closed length 375 mm, extended length 590 mm.

Frequently asked questions

What makes the Foam Cell shock absorber different from a gas shock?
Instead of a nitrogen gas charge, this damper uses a cellular foam insert, freeing up internal volume for extra oil and improving heat dispersion so damping resists fade under sustained load.
What's the build quality of this shock absorber?
It uses a cellular-technology tube, an 18mm sintered rod, a 41mm piston with a Teflon multi-lip seal, single-piece eye rings and polyurethane bush mounts, finished with a powder coat.
What size is this shock absorber?
It has a closed length of 375mm and an extended length of 590mm, matching standard ride height rear suspension.
Why choose foam cell over a standard gas shock?
Foam cell dampers typically resist fade better on long, rough off-road runs because the foam insert reduces gas cavitation and keeps damping consistent as the unit heats up.
