Genuine Part
Genuine: Original manufacturer part. This product is the original part designed and produced by the vehicle manufacturer.
Oil Tube Gasket seals the turbocharger oil drain (return) pipe where it joins the engine, within the turbocharger lubrication circuit.

After lubricating the turbocharger bearings, oil returns to the sump through this drain pipe under gravity, and the gasket forms the seal at the joint to prevent leakage. Fitted to the V6 diesel and TDCi Puma diesel engines.

Frequently asked questions

What is the oil tube gasket for?
The oil tube gasket forms the seal on the turbocharger oil drain pipe at the point it meets the engine. Oil that has lubricated the turbo bearings returns to the sump by gravity through this pipe, and the gasket keeps that joint oil-tight on V6 diesel and TDCi Puma engines.
Is this the feed-side or drain-side turbo seal?
This gasket seals the drain (return) side of the turbocharger oil circuit, not the high-pressure feed. It's the joint where spent oil flows back to the sump. Oil weeping from the lower turbo area is a common sign this drain-pipe seal has failed and needs renewing.
Which Land Rover diesels does this genuine gasket fit?
This genuine Land Rover oil tube gasket suits the TDCi Puma Defender (2007-2016) plus the 2.7 TDV6 and 3.0 V6 diesel engines used in Discovery 3 to 5, Range Rover L405 and Range Rover Sport from 2005 on. Match your engine to a TDCi or V6 diesel before ordering.
Does the oil tube gasket need replacing each time the pipe comes off?
Yes, fit a new oil tube gasket every time the turbo oil drain pipe is removed. It's designed as a one-use seal and won't compress back to shape, so reusing it tends to leak at the drain joint. Replace it as routine during turbo work on these diesels.
