De contactpunten worden in de stroomverdeler gemonteerd en onderbreken het primaire ontstekingscircuit om de hoogspanningsbobineontlading bij elke ontsteking te activeren. This contact set fits the Land Rover Defender from 1983 to 2006 with the 2.25 or 2.5 litre four cylinder petrol engine, and Series II, IIA and III with the 2.25 petrol, in both cases with the Lucas distributor. It doesn't suit vehicles converted to electronic ignition.
