Bougie - ontsteekt het lucht/brandstofmengsel in de verbrandingskamer van de benzinemotor. Deze wordt in de cilinderkop geschroefd, waarbij de elektrodeafstand vrij blijft in de kamer, waar de hoogspanningsvonk over de afstand elke arbeidslag initieert.
