Deurafdichting voor de achterdeur, passend langs de onderste vloerrand van de zijdelings scharnierende achterklep. Het vormt de afdichtende interface tussen de onderkant van de achterdeur en de carrosseriestructuur, en dicht de deur-naar-vloerverbinding af tegen water, stof en tocht.

De afdichting wordt geplaatst in het onderste gedeelte van de afdichtingsconstructie van de achterdeur en werkt samen met de omliggende perimeterafdichtingen om de weerafdichting compleet te maken wanneer de deur vergrendeld is.
