Gasveer achterklep voor de bovenste achterklep.

Een gasgevulde telescopische veerpoot die het gewicht van de bovenste achterklep draagt wanneer deze wordt geopend en deze in de open positie houdt. Deze veert in wanneer de achterklep wordt gesloten en veert uit om het openen te vergemakkelijken en te dempen. Per voertuig worden twee gasveren gemonteerd, één aan elke kant van de achterklepopening, en ze worden normaal gesproken per paar vervangen om een gelijkmatige heffing te garanderen.

What does the tailgate gas strut do?

The tailgate gas strut is a gas-filled telescopic strut that supports the weight of the upper tailgate as it's raised and holds it open. It's fitted to the Range Rover L322 (2002-2012) upper tailgate and cushions the tailgate through opening and closing.

How many gas struts are needed for the tailgate?

Two gas struts are typically fitted per vehicle, one each side of the tailgate aperture. They're usually replaced as a pair, because a weakened strut lets the tailgate drop or sit unevenly even if the other side still holds.

Does this gas strut fit armoured vehicles?
