Remvloeistof voor hydraulische rem- en koppelingssystemen, voldoet aan de DOT 4-specificatie en geleverd in een container van 250 ml.

Deze op glycol-ether gebaseerde hydraulische vloeistof brengt de pedaal- en koppelingsdruk over van de hoofdcilinder naar de remklauwen, wielcilinders en hulpcilinder. De DOT 4-specificatie biedt een hoger droog- en nat kookpunt dan DOT 3, waardoor de vloeistof dampbelvorming onder aanhoudend zwaar remmen weerstaat.

DOT 4 brake fluid is the hydraulic fluid for the brake and clutch systems. It carries pedal and clutch pressure from the master cylinder to the calipers, wheel cylinders and slave cylinder. The DOT 4 grade has a higher boiling point than DOT 3, resisting vapour lock under heavy braking.

Is one 250ml bottle enough for a brake fluid change?

A full brake fluid flush typically uses around a litre across the whole system, so several 250ml bottles. A single 250ml container usually covers topping up the reservoir or bleeding one corner after a caliper or hose change.

Why does brake fluid need replacing periodically?

Brake fluid is hygroscopic, meaning it absorbs moisture over time. Absorbed water lowers the boiling point and can cause vapour lock and a spongy pedal under hard use. Replace it according to your vehicle's service schedule and keep containers sealed until use.
