De nokkenaspoelie bevindt zich aan de voorkant van de cilinderkop, wordt aangedreven door de distributieriem en brengt rotatie over naar de nokkenas. Het werkt binnen de distributieriemconstructie samen met de krukaspoelie en de spanner om de juiste kleptiming te handhaven.

Where does the camshaft pulley sit in the timing system?
The camshaft pulley works within the timing belt assembly at the front of the engine, alongside the crankshaft pulley and tensioner. The timing belt drives it to keep the camshaft turning in time with the crankshaft on the 2.5L 4-cylinder diesel.
