The ETC4068 valve spring cap seats on top of the valve spring and locates against the split collets on the valve stem, retaining the spring and transferring its closing force to the valve. It fits the 4-cylinder petrol and diesel engines, including the 200 TDi and 300 TDi.

How many valve spring caps do I need?

Typically one valve spring cap is needed per valve, so a full 4-cylinder head usually takes eight. The ETC4068 is sold individually, so order to suit the number of valves being serviced.
