The power steering belt is a polyvee (multi-rib) drive belt that drives the power-assisted steering pump. It runs in the auxiliary drive, transferring rotation from the crankshaft pulley to the PAS pump pulley. Without it, you lose steering assistance and the wheel goes heavy.
