The ETC5898 seals the flanged joint between the turbocharger and the exhaust elbow at the turbine outlet on the 2.5L Turbo Diesel and 200TDi engines. It keeps the joint gas-tight where exhaust gas leaves the turbo, and is fitted on Defender 90 and 110.

When should this turbo outlet gasket be replaced?

The ETC5898 gasket should be renewed whenever the turbocharger or exhaust elbow is removed on the 2.5TD or 200TDi. A failed gasket here typically shows as an exhaust leak and a blowing or whistling noise at the turbo outlet. It's best treated as single-use once disturbed.

How many gaskets are needed and is it sold singly?
