Distributiekettinggeleider voor de Td5 2.5L 5-cilinder turbodiesel, onderdeel van de distributiekettingaandrijving aan de voorzijde van de motor.

De geleider loopt langs de distributieketting om de loop ervan te regelen, speling op te vangen en trillingen over de kettinglengte tussen de krukas- en nokkenastandwielen te dempen. Een correcte staat van de geleider zorgt ervoor dat de ketting goed loopt en de nauwkeurige kleptiming behouden blijft; een versleten of gebroken geleider laat de ketting klapperen, waardoor de slijtage van de ketting, spanner en tandwielen versnelt.
