De torsiestaaf van de deurscharnierbevestiging maakt deel uit van het deurscharnierbevestigingsmechanisme aan de zijkant en zorgt voor de verende weerstand die de deur op zijn tussenliggende en volledig geopende controleposities houdt.

Dit is de rechterbevestiging. De torsiestaaf werkt samen met de scharnierbevestiging en deurscharnieren om de zwaaibeweging van de deur te controleren en overmatige uitslag te voorkomen, waarbij de spanning terugkeert wanneer de deur wordt geopend en gesloten.

What does the door check strap torsion bar do?

The door check strap torsion bar provides the sprung resistance that holds a Land Rover Defender side door at its intermediate and fully open check positions. It works with the check strap and hinges to control the door's swing and stop it over-travelling. This is the right-hand (RH) fitment.

Is this handed, and how many do I need?

This is the right-hand torsion bar, sold individually. Each side door has its own check-strap torsion bar, so order one per RH door you're repairing. The left-hand doors use the opposite-handed part, so check which side you need before ordering.
