Rubberen Buffer gevormd deurstootkussen, gemonteerd in de deurbegrenzer en het scharniermechanisme.

De buffer dempt de deur tegen zijn controlearm en beperkt de beweging aan het einde van de scharnierslag, absorbeert het contact zodat de deur rustig en zonder metaal-op-metaal schok tot stilstand komt. Het vervult dezelfde functie op de zijdeurcontroleband en op het mechanisme van de achterdeurcontrole. Versleten of samengedrukte buffers laten de deur te ver doorgaan en rammelen, en worden als slijtageartikel vernieuwd.
