What does the front anti-roll bar bush do?

The front anti-roll bar bush mounts the front anti-roll bar (stabiliser bar) to the chassis on the Discovery 2. It clamps the bar in place while letting it twist during suspension movement, which controls body roll in corners. This bush is for vehicles without ACE.

How many anti-roll bar bushes are needed?

Anti-roll bar bushes are typically replaced as a pair, one each side where the bar clamps to the chassis, so most front bar jobs need two. They're usually renewed alongside the anti-roll bar link bushes for a complete refresh on the Discovery 2.

What are the signs these bushes need replacing?

Worn front anti-roll bar bushes usually cause a knocking or clunking from the front over bumps and vaguer steering turn-in. The rubber perishes and cracks with age, letting the bar move in its mount. Replacing them on the Discovery 2 restores roll control and quietens the front end.
