Genuine Part
Genuine: Original manufacturer part. This product is the original part designed and produced by the vehicle manufacturer.

Frequently asked questions

What is the Watt's roller bearing used for on a Discovery 2?
The Watt's roller bearing is the centre pivot bearing of the rear Watt's linkage on the Land Rover Discovery 2 (1999-2004). The linkage locates the rear axle laterally, and this bearing carries the central pivoting link the two tie rods connect to, letting the axle move vertically while staying centred.
Where is the Watt's linkage roller bearing located on the Discovery 2?
The Watt's roller bearing sits at the centre of the rear Watt's linkage on the Discovery 2, mounted on the axle and carrying the pivoting link. It's part of the rear axle location system, with a single central bearing holding the axle against sideways load.
What are the signs the Watt's linkage bearing is worn?
A worn Watt's roller bearing typically introduces play in the rear linkage, which degrades rear axle location and can cause vague handling or a knock from the rear. On the Discovery 2 it's worth inspecting during rear suspension servicing, since the central pivot carries constant lateral load.
Does this Watt's bearing come under other part numbers?
This Watt's roller bearing cross-references to RGW100020LR and RGW100020R, and the short form RGW10002. All refer to the same Discovery 2 rear Watt's linkage centre bearing, so check the number on your existing bearing to confirm a match.
