Ontluchtingsnippel - Metrisch is de ontluchtingsnippel voor een schijfremklauw.

Deze wordt in het remklauwhuis geschroefd en tijdens het ontluchten van de rem opengedraaid om ingesloten lucht en oude vloeistof uit het hydraulische circuit te laten ontsnappen, waarna hij wordt vastgedraaid om het systeem weer af te dichten. Dit is de metrische uitvoering. Normaal gesproken past er een stofkap over het blootgestelde uiteinde om de boring tussen gebruik schoon te houden.

What is the RTC1526Z bleed screw used for?

The RTC1526Z is the bleed screw, or bleed nipple, for a disc brake caliper. It threads into the caliper body and is opened during brake bleeding to release trapped air and old fluid from the hydraulic circuit, then tightened to seal the system. This is the metric-thread version.

What's the difference between the metric and imperial bleed screw?

This is the metric-thread version of the bleed screw. Land Rover used both metric and imperial-thread bleed screws across these models, and the two are not interchangeable. Match the thread to your caliper, because the wrong thread won't seat or seal and can damage the caliper.

How many bleed screws do I need?
