Hoofdkoppelingscilinder - Handmatig maakt deel uit van het hydraulische koppelingsbedieningssysteem in voertuigen met een handgeschakelde versnellingsbak, gemonteerd bij het koppelingspedaal.

Wanneer het koppelingspedaal wordt ingetrapt, zet de hoofdkoppelingscilinder die beweging om in hydraulische druk, die via de koppelingsleiding naar de hulpkoppelingscilinder wordt overgebracht. De hulpkoppelingscilinder bedient vervolgens het ontkoppelingsmechanisme om de koppeling vrij te geven.
