What does the front drive shaft boot kit do?

The front drive shaft boot kit reseals both the inner and outer constant-velocity joints on one front drive shaft of the Range Rover L322. The rubber boots hold the joint grease in and keep dirt and water out. The kit includes both boots, retaining clamps and CV grease.

Does this kit cover one drive shaft or both sides?

This kit covers both CV joints on a single front drive shaft, inner and outer. To reseal both front drive shafts you'll need two kits, one per side. Each kit has the inner boot, outer boot, clamps and grease for that one shaft.

Why do front CV boots fail on the L322?

Front CV boots typically split or perish with age, heat and steering movement, especially the outer boot that flexes most on full lock. A torn boot throws grease and lets grit into the joint, which then wears and clicks. Resealing early saves replacing the whole drive shaft.
