Warehouse & Order Processing

Gouda, Netherlands. Full time, 40 hours per week. Budget Parts B.V.

Budget Parts is a specialist supplier of original and aftermarket Land Rover and Range Rover parts, serving enthusiasts and professional workshops across the Netherlands and Europe. We have been doing this for over 25 years, with staffed warehouses in Gouda and Drachten and around 98 percent stock availability across our range. We physically stock, pick and ship most in stock orders the same working day, and we are Trusted Shops certified.

What sets us apart is simple: we hold real stock, we know the parts, and we get them out the door fast. That depends on two things working together: a sharp, well run warehouse, and someone who can talk a customer through to the correct part before it ever gets picked.

This role is both. Half your week is on the warehouse floor with Land Rover and Range Rover parts, from small components to large assemblies, keeping stock accurate and orders moving. The other half is at the desk, processing orders, helping customers find the right part and handling returns and fitment questions. If you want a job that is only lifting, or only a screen, this is not it.

Before you apply

This role is based on-site in Gouda, so you need to be living in the Netherlands already. You also need good working Dutch and English, since you will be speaking and writing to customers directly. Most of our customers are Dutch and we ship across Europe. If both of those apply to you, we would love to hear from you.

Role at a glance
  • A genuine 50/50 split: half warehouse and logistics, half order processing, customer contact and parts advice
  • Based in our Gouda warehouse, working alongside Sebastian and reporting to our location manager, Jack
  • Full time, 40 hours over 5 weekdays, no weekend work and no overtime
  • Good working Dutch and English both needed, on the phone and in writing

What the job involves

Two sides, roughly equal. On the warehouse side you keep stock accurate, locations tidy, goods moving in and orders moving out. On the order processing side you are the person a customer reaches when they need a part identified, an order sorted or a return handled. You will work alongside Sebastian in the Gouda warehouse and report to our location manager, Jack.

You do not need to be a Land Rover expert on day one, but you do need to be practical, organised and technically minded, comfortable being on your feet for half the day and comfortable picking up the phone for the other half. The two sides feed each other: knowing the shelves makes you better on the phone, and knowing the customer makes you better on the floor.

What you will do

Warehouse and logistics

  • Receive incoming supplier shipments, check them against purchase orders and packing lists, and flag any shortages or damage
  • Put stock away in the correct warehouse and bin locations, keeping our stock data accurate
  • Consolidate stock, merge duplicate locations and keep the warehouse clean, logical and easy to pick from
  • Pick, pack and dispatch orders accurately, especially during busy periods
  • Physically check returned parts and restock or quarantine them correctly
  • Run and support stock counts and cycle counts to keep inventory accuracy high
  • Spot and suggest improvements to layout, picking routes and stock processes. This role exists partly to keep optimising, not just to maintain
  • Keep packing stations and shipping materials stocked and the dispatch area orderly

Order processing and customer contact

  • Process webshop and trade orders end to end and book dispatch through our couriers
  • Handle incoming phone and email contact from trade and retail customers, adapting your tone to each
  • Identify the correct part using VIN numbers, vehicle details and parts catalogues, and advise the customer directly
  • Answer fitment and compatibility questions, and prevent wrong-part orders before they ship
  • Manage returns from the customer side: assess the request, process the RMA, arrange collection or replacement and close the loop
  • Handle warranty cases and the occasional "this part does not fit" with a calm, solution first approach
  • Chase and resolve order issues such as backorders, courier delays and delivery queries
  • Keep order and customer records accurate in our systems as you go
Smart tools, less paperwork

We have invested heavily in our own intelligent in-house systems that handle most of the administrative side of this work. You will be trained on these, so the focus stays on the parts and the customer rather than paperwork.

What we are looking for

Must have

  • Hands on warehouse, logistics or parts counter experience, ideally in automotive, technical or industrial goods
  • Confident dealing with customers directly by phone and email, including the awkward ones
  • Good working Dutch and English. We operate in English internally, most of our customers are Dutch, and we ship across Europe, so you need both
  • Accurate, organised and confident learning new software (we will train you fully on our own systems)
  • Comfortable with regular heavy lifting and physically active work for a good part of the day
  • A practical, technical mindset and the confidence to learn a large product range

Nice to have

  • Automotive or technical knowledge and the ability to read parts catalogues or use VIN lookup. A real plus for the customer advice side
  • Previous experience on a parts counter, technical helpdesk or in an order desk role
  • Experience improving stock or warehouse processes in a previous role

What we offer

  • A full time role in a specialist, hands on company where your work directly affects how fast customers get their parts
  • Variety: no two halves of the day look the same, and you own the part from shelf to customer
  • Modern, intelligent in-house tools that take the admin load off you, so you can focus on the real work
  • A small, knowledgeable team and short lines of communication
  • A salary that is marktconform and in line with your experience
  • 8 percent holiday allowance (vakantiegeld)
  • 24 holiday days on a full time contract
  • Travel allowance in line with company policy
  • A 12 month contract with a one month trial period, with the intention of a permanent contract on good performance
  • Set weekday hours with no weekend work and no overtime
  • Full training on our systems and the product range

Hours, location and start

  • Location: Gouda, Kampenringweg 13. On-site, this is not a remote or hybrid role
  • Hours: 40 hours per week over 5 weekdays, no weekend work
  • Start date: as soon as possible, ideally with a short handover period
