Spring Nut is a sheet-metal fastener used in body panel and interior trim assemblies.

It clips over a panel edge or into a pre-formed hole to provide a captive threaded receptacle for a securing screw, allowing trim, facia and headlining panels to be fastened without a separate loose nut. The spring tension also resists loosening under vibration.
