Rear Coil Spring Pair - heavy-duty load rating - for the rear suspension assembly. Frequently asked questions

What is the 2755 rear coil spring pair used for?
The 2755 is a heavy-duty rear coil spring pair for the rear suspension. The springs seat in the rear spring towers between the axle perches and the chassis mounts, bearing the body load at the rear axle and working with the rear shock absorbers to control ride height and wheel travel. Sold as a pair.
Why are the 2755 rear springs sold as a pair?
Rear coil springs are sold as a pair so both sides are replaced together. Fitting one new spring against an old one typically causes uneven rear ride height and lean, so replacing both keeps the rear suspension level. The 2755 set covers the left and right rear positions.
What does the heavy-duty load rating on the 2755 mean?
The heavy-duty load rating gives extra support at the rear axle for vehicles carrying or towing heavier loads. These rear springs typically resist sag better than standard rate springs when the back of the vehicle is regularly loaded, maintaining rear ride height under additional weight without changing the mounting design.
What are the signs rear coil springs need replacing?
Worn rear coil springs typically show as a sagging or uneven rear ride height, the back sitting low under load, or a harsh, bottoming ride. Springs can crack or break near the ends. Replace the rear pair together to keep the rear suspension level, particularly after heavy or frequent loading.
