Frequently asked questions

What does the rear door window guard do on a Discovery 2?
The rear door window guard is a steel guard that fits over the rear door glass on the Land Rover Discovery 2 (1999-2004). It shields the window from impact and branch damage off-road and deters break-ins through the rear of the vehicle, which is often the least visible point.
Does the window guard fit the Discovery 2 rear door?
Yes, this guard is shaped for the rear door window of the Land Rover Discovery 2. It bolts over the existing glass aperture. Because Discovery 2 rear doors changed little across the 1999-2004 run, it typically fits the whole range, but check your door style against the product images before ordering.
Can you still access the rear window with the guard fitted?
Yes. The guard is designed to be removed from inside the vehicle, so you can take it off to clean the glass whenever needed. Fitted, it sits over the rear door window of the Land Rover Discovery 2 and is secured with the supplied riv-nuts and bolts.
