Frequently asked questions

What is the trim clip used for?
The trim clip is a plastic fastener that secures interior and exterior trim panels, finishers and wheelarch liners to the body. It pushes into a pre-drilled hole and grips to hold the panel without screws on the Land Rover Defender, Discovery 1 and 2, Freelander 1, Range Rover Classic and P38.
How many trim clips do I need?
Trim clips are usually fitted several to a panel, so order enough to do the whole panel. It's common to break a few on removal, so ordering spares is sensible when refitting trim on the Defender, Discovery or Range Rover Classic.
Can trim clips be reused?
Trim clips can sometimes be reused, but they often crack or lose grip on removal. Fresh clips usually give a more secure hold, so it's worth replacing any that feel loose or damaged when you refit the trim panel or wheelarch liner.
