Clutch Plate & Cover Assembly forms the driven and clamping elements of the clutch, sitting between the engine flywheel and the gearbox input shaft on the 4.0L and 4.6L V8 EFI petrol engine with manual transmission.

The clutch cover (pressure plate) bolts to the flywheel and clamps the driven plate against the flywheel face, while the driven plate carries the friction linings and transmits drive from the engine to the gearbox input shaft. Depressing the clutch pedal withdraws the pressure plate to interrupt drive during gear changes.

This assembly comprises the clutch cover (pressure plate) and the driven (friction) plate.
