Genuine Part
Genuine: Original manufacturer part. This product is the original part designed and produced by the vehicle manufacturer.
Self-Tapping Screw is a fixing that secures the steering column shroud in place. Being self-tapping, it forms its own thread as it is driven, retaining the moulded shroud around the steering column without a separate nut or pre-cut thread.

It is a direct replacement for the original column-shroud fastener, which is commonly lost or stripped when the shroud is removed for switch or ignition-lock access.

Frequently asked questions

What is this self-tapping screw used for?
This self-tapping screw secures the steering column shroud on the Range Rover Classic. Being self-tapping, it forms its own thread as it's driven, holding the moulded shroud around the steering column without a separate nut or pre-cut thread.
How many of these screws are needed for the column shroud?
The steering column shroud is typically held by more than one screw, so check how many your shroud uses and order to suit. These are often lost or stripped when the shroud is removed for ignition-lock or switch access, so replacing the full set is usually worthwhile.
Which Range Rover does this screw fit?
This screw fits the Range Rover Classic steering column shroud, covering 1986-1991 models up to VIN HA610293 and 1992-1994 models from JA610294. Check your VIN against these ranges to confirm the correct shroud fixing.
