Copper Washer for the turbocharger lubrication circuit.

The soft copper sealing washer forms a gas-tight, oil-tight seal at a threaded oil union feeding or returning lubricant to the turbocharger bearing housing. It is designed to deform on tightening and should be renewed whenever the joint is disturbed. Used across the AJ200/AJ20 1.5L, 2.0L and 3.0L petrol and diesel engines.

What is the copper washer for on the turbocharger?
This copper washer forms a gas-tight, oil-tight seal at a threaded oil union feeding or returning lubricant to the turbocharger bearing housing. The soft copper is designed to deform as the union is tightened, sealing the joint on the turbo oil supply or return line.
Can the turbo copper washer be reused?
Copper sealing washers are best renewed whenever the oil union is disturbed. They deform on tightening to seal, so a used washer typically won't reseal reliably and can weep oil. On the turbo oil feed, an oil leak risks bearing damage, so fitting new washers is the safe choice.
How many copper washers do I need?
Quantity depends on the joint being sealed, as this washer is sold singly. A banjo-type oil union typically uses one washer each side of the fitting, so a single turbo oil line connection often needs two. It fits 1.5L, 2.0L and 3.0L AJ200/AJ20 engines.
