MAP Sensor (manifold absolute pressure sensor) for the engine air intake and management system.

The sensor measures the absolute pressure inside the intake manifold and reports it to the engine control module, which uses the reading to calculate air mass, fuelling and, on forced-induction applications, boost control. Fitted to the 3.0L supercharged V6 and the 5.0L V8 petrol engines, both naturally aspirated and supercharged (AJ133).
Fitment Notes JAGUAR — MAP (manifold absolute pressure) sensor. Engines: 3.0L Supercharged V6 Petrol, 5.0L V8 Petrol (NA & Supercharged, AJ133). Fits XK (X150), F-TYPE (X152), XF (X250), XJ (X351), XE (X760), E-PACE (X761).

Frequently asked questions

What does the MAP sensor do?
The MAP (manifold absolute pressure) sensor measures absolute pressure inside the intake manifold and reports it to the engine control module. The ECM uses that reading to calculate air mass and fuelling, and on supercharged engines to help manage boost. It's fitted to Jaguar 3.0L supercharged V6 and 5.0L V8 petrol engines.
What are the symptoms of a failing MAP sensor?
A failing MAP sensor typically triggers the check engine light, rough idle, poor throttle response, or reduced fuel economy on these Jaguar petrol engines. Because the ECM relies on its signal for fuelling and boost control, a faulty sensor can push the engine into a reduced-power limp mode.
Which Jaguar models use this MAP sensor?
This MAP sensor fits Jaguar 3.0L supercharged V6 and 5.0L V8 petrol engines, both naturally aspirated and supercharged (AJ133). Applications include XK (X150), F-TYPE (X152), XF (X250), XJ (X351), XE (X760) and E-PACE (X761). Confirm your engine before ordering.
