Cylinder Head Gasket for the left-hand cylinder bank of the 3.0L supercharged V6 petrol engine (DOHC GDI).

The gasket seals the joint between the left-hand cylinder head and the engine block, containing combustion pressure in each cylinder while keeping the coolant and oil galleries that cross the deck separate and leak-free.

What does this left-hand cylinder head gasket do?
This cylinder head gasket seals the joint between the left-hand cylinder head and the engine block on the Jaguar 3.0L supercharged V6 petrol engine (DOHC GDI). It contains combustion pressure while keeping the coolant and oil galleries that cross the deck separate and leak-free.
What are the signs of head gasket failure?
Head gaskets typically fail from overheating, age, or repeated heat cycling, which breaches the seal between the combustion, coolant and oil passages. On the 3.0L supercharged V6, signs include coolant loss, white exhaust smoke, oil and coolant mixing, or pressurised coolant. A failed gasket needs prompt attention.
Is this for the left bank only, and do I need the right side too?
This gasket fits the left-hand (LH) cylinder bank only. The 3.0L supercharged V6 uses a separate gasket for each head, so for a full head gasket job you'll also need the right-hand gasket. Confirm which bank you're working on before ordering.
