Purge Valve for the evaporative emission control (EVAP) system, managing the flow of fuel vapour from the charcoal canister to the engine.

Under engine control unit command, the valve opens to draw stored fuel vapour from the canister into the intake manifold, where it is burned during combustion. This prevents vapour venting to atmosphere and regulates purge flow according to engine operating conditions. Fitted to supercharged petrol applications.
