Spring Nut – U-Type A U-shaped spring-steel clip nut used to secure the coolant overflow container and battery mountings.

The U-shaped body slides over a panel flange or bracket edge and presents a captive threaded hole, letting a screw fasten the component in place without access behind the panel. The sprung form grips the flange and holds tension on the thread to resist loosening under vibration.
