Rear Door Outer Waist Seal - Left-Hand fitted along the upper edge of the left-hand rear side door outer panel, sealing the interface between the outer panel and the door drop glass.

This rubber strip wipes against the exterior face of the window glass as it is raised and lowered, preventing water from tracking down the outer panel into the door cavity and limiting wind noise at the glass channel.

The ALR5981 is the left-hand rear door outer waist seal for the Land Rover Defender up to 2016 (110/130 wheelbase). It sits along the top of the rear side door outer panel and wipes against the drop glass as it moves, sealing against water ingress and wind noise.

Does this seal fit the Defender 90 as well as the 110 and 130?

This seal fits the Defender 110 and 130 only. The 90 doesn't have rear side doors with a drop glass in this configuration, so the ALR5981 doesn't apply to it.

What's the difference between ALR5981 and ALR5982?

ALR5981 is the left-hand seal; ALR5982 is its right-hand counterpart. Both fit the rear side doors of the Defender 110/130 up to 2016. If you're replacing both rear door seals, you need one of each.
