Anti-Roll Bar Bush is the compliant mounting bush that locates the anti-roll bar to the radius arm within the front and rear suspension.

It isolates the bar at its attachment point, allowing the anti-roll bar to twist under body roll while damping road-borne vibration and preventing metal-to-metal contact. This application is for vehicles fitted with Active Cornering Enhancement (ACE), the hydraulic anti-roll system, in combination with air suspension.

Worn or perished bushes introduce play at the bar mount, producing knocks over uneven surfaces and reduced roll control; replacement restores precise location of the anti-roll bar.

Frequently asked questions

What is the ANR6551 anti-roll bar bush used for?
The ANR6551 is the anti-roll bar bush that locates the anti-roll bar to the radius arm on the Land Rover Discovery 2. It isolates the bar at its mounting, letting it twist under body roll while damping vibration. This application is for models with Active Cornering Enhancement (ACE) and air suspension.
How many ANR6551 bushes are needed for the job?
These bushes are typically fitted at both the front and rear anti-roll bar mounts, so a full refresh usually needs more than one. They're commonly replaced as a set to keep roll control even across both axles on the Discovery 2.
Does this bush fit all Discovery 2 models?
This bush fits the Discovery 2 only when fitted with Active Cornering Enhancement (ACE) and air suspension. Vehicles without the ACE hydraulic anti-roll system use a different bush, so confirm your Discovery 2 has ACE before ordering.
Why does the anti-roll bar bush fail?
Anti-roll bar bushes fail as the rubber perishes and cracks with age, introducing play at the bar mount. The usual sign is a knock over uneven surfaces and vaguer roll control. Worn bushes let the bar move at its fixing rather than locating it precisely.
