Frequently asked questions

What is the ANR6920 special bolt used for?
The ANR6920 is an M16 special bolt that secures the front suspension radius arm on the Land Rover Discovery 2 (1998-2004). It locates the arm against the chassis and axle mounting and holds the suspension geometry under load.
Why can't I use a standard M16 bolt instead?
The ANR6920 has a shoulder and thread specific to the radius arm fixing, so it is not interchangeable with a standard M16 bolt. The wrong bolt can let the radius arm shift and upset suspension geometry on the Discovery 2.
How many of these bolts does a radius arm need?
Each front radius arm is typically secured by one of these special bolts at the mounting, so replacing both front arms usually needs one per side. Suspension fasteners of this M16 size are commonly renewed rather than reused.
