Radiator for the engine cooling system, fitted to the 2.5L VM four-cylinder turbo diesel.

The radiator forms the heat-exchange core of the cooling circuit. Hot coolant enters through the top hose connection and passes down through the core matrix, where airflow drawn across the fins carries off the heat before the cooled coolant returns to the engine via the bottom hose. It works in conjunction with the cooling fan, thermostat and water pump to hold the engine at its operating temperature under load.
